Lake Macquarie City Council acknowledges the value and contribution given by our many volunteers, and the importance of formal and informal recognition to maintain morale and retain skilled volunteers. Volunteers willingly give their time and expertise to operate public facilities for the benefit of the local community.
Council is committed to working with our volunteers to ensure we provide suitable resources and information to safely operate community and recreation facilities on its behalf.
Council has and will continue to provide meaningful ways in which volunteers are formally recognised, with the aim of maintaining a positive working environment and culture.
