Thank You and Congratulations
As most of our Winter Sports are now coming, or have come to a close, I would like to acknowledge and congratulate all volunteers invovled in another fantastic season of sport.
Accross the whole of Lake Macquarie, thousands of players, referees, coaches, parents and friends were involved in sport and this certainly does not happen without the hard work of volunteers.
This season we had a range of venues host finals and pull together amazing events that showcase the best Lake Macquarie has to offer in the sporting and recreation space. We also had many successful teams and clubs and of course, many happy players who continue to love the game. The impact that sport can have on peoples health and wellbeing is not to be understated. Each weekend, thousands of excited kids and adults, with their supporters, look forward to their weekend sport where they can make lifelong freindships and learn skills beyond the physical domain. This is all thanks to our volunteers providing wonderful sporting opportunites.
Thank you sincerly on behalf of all the players, coachers, referees and supporters, for all the time and committment each of you put towards managing our sporting and recreation facilities.
